as someone who lives in Greek island pls keep in mind that in July &August it's very very hot here especially in the islands near Crete, so try not to walk around 1-3 pm. Keep always cold water with you and wear linen clothes and caps, and you need a good sunscreen.

We don't really do a "siesta", we just don't really go outside because between 1-5ish the sun combined with the heat can (and have for many tourists and elderly people) kill you. So we are just doing the smart think and stay inside

Everyone does not take a mid day siesta, as for the fast ferries it's only bad when it's windy, regarding the international driver's license not true, you can easily rent a car with your country's license. please stop misinforming people

We do not take siestas ffs we just avoid the sun at its peak hours and bc working hours are long those the two shifts 8am -2pm and then the evening one anywhere from 3-5pm till 9-11pm
