Hatchbacks just get too small after you grow up and start building your life, get a family, build your career etc. ie. last week we had big groceries and got 6-7 bags of groceries or so (we had groceries for the fiancee's parents too), for hatchback you'd have to put some on the back seats etc. which is not as convenient as just putting all to trunk.. Also in general wagons offer more powerful variants, hatchbacks start to cap out at rough 400hp but if you're even a little bit of car guy who likes to have power you keep wanting more. 😅 So in the end it "has" to be a wagon or SUV.

Because it handles like a car and has the added storage in the rear. They generally look cooler than a sedan. I hate that SUVs became so popular, they killed off the wagon for a worse version of a wagon purely because people have the illusion of being safer because they’re “up higher”. Cars like the Audi RS6 Avant and BMW M3 wagon look cooler and are kind of sleepers as the avg punter doesn’t realise how quick they are.
