@bhargas: “Netaji” Subhas Chandra Bose 🇮🇳 (1897–1945) was an Indian 🇮🇳 anti-colonial national leader whose idea fundamentally differed from others seeking independence. While figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and Jawaharlal Nehru took a more negotiating approach, working with the British Crown 🇬🇧, Netaji Bose actively sought support from international powers to ultimately remove the crown’s control over the country. He established Azad Hind and led his way into northeast India 🇮🇳 with the help of Japan, and wanted to expand to the rest of the country. Unfortunately, his efforts came to an abrupt halt with his tragic aviation accident in 1945.
