Been in my iva 4yrs. When car finance ended I had to ask permission to get a new car which was approved as long as repayment was the same as old car.

I opted to get rid of the car just as I went into the IVA, and had approval to utilise the sale cost to find and buy a car outright. So, I sold it back to the garage, they cleared the rest of the finance, I recieved £3,000 after that. I’ve always been confused as to how you get finance during an IVA though because your credit is terrible and who would lend to you, even with approval? X
