I was pregnant with my first son when I seen this, Korey Wise had me crying like a damn baby. His mama LOVED him and woulda gave her life. And still had to keep faith for her SON. He did all that time literally for NOTHING. Just being a good friend

I met three of these men before the movie came out. One of them went to my high school which is why they came. They played the original documentary, spoke to us about it all and then proceeded to take meetings with high risk students. I cried so hard that day. I couldn't watch the movie when it was announced because I didn't want to relive the documentary.
