My oldest is Lola, we got her as a puppy and she doesn’t have much lore that I know of because I was like 8. Second oldest is Baxter, when I was in middle school my friend came up to me and basically said can you take this dog my mom is allergic and xyz keeps happening and we can’t keep him. Mom originally said no, and then met him and was like we are taking this baby. He has some pretty severe food anxiety, not aggression, anxiety. He will take mouthfuls from the bowl and run away to eat it and if you try to do anything while he’s eating that involves him he does growl a little bit, but if you just reassure him your not gonna take it he calms down. He also severely hates being picked up so we only do it if we have to or if he signals us to, most of the time he only signals if he wants to be somewhere like on a bed and can’t jump on his own or can’t reach it because he’s just a little guy. Then there’s Monkee who is our Chiweenie, she is almost three and we got her because my aunt couldn’t keep her any more. Then we have Hunny, who is a pure bred Basset hound and she was passed around to three different homes before we got her by the time she was 1 because she was “too much energy.” She’s a basset hound puppy. She’s gonna have energy. And then we have Ryder who is a miniature Yorkie and he was passed around between I think four or five different owners before my mom got him and he is now her truck dog. And lastly we got two Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepard puppies a couple weeks ago to be guard dogs on our farm. They are menaces. Because they’re puppies. And we love them for it.

My neighbor was feeding a “stray” cat. One day he got evicted so on his way out he brought the cat over here and asked if I’d look out for her. Ofc I said yes. The deal was she was an outside cat, I’d just make sure she had food. Well the male stray cats tried to make her a victim so I let her in my garage for a while. Then she tunneled her way to my upstairs bathroom. Now she’s spayed and lives inside her name is mama bc she runs this house. It was 3 years ago my neighbor moved.

My dog had passed a couple of months before. I was scrolling Facebook and saw someone rehoming this adorable seal pup looking girl. They also said "we can't handle this dog anymore" but they actually did try. Turns out she has anxiety and likely a touch of the OCD. So as long as wee keep things super predictable she's actually the best girl. 🙂❤️I tell her she found the perfect owner because I have a touch of both too. So i understand. 😂

Our cat nova turned up at our backdoor during 2020 covid and bc of said covid we couldnt let her in, and we intentionally didnt feed her because we didnt want her to keep coming back if she had an owner. Anyway she ended up staying out back every single day for two weeks, we opened the door one day, she ran in and never left again despite encouragement. Turns out she was very pregnant at a very young age so we kept her. She gave birth to 5 health kitties, we rehomed 3 and kept two. Shes now very happy and healthy but she will meow at the bathroom door incessantly if somebody's in there and the doors shut and won't stop until they are out and she can see they are safe.

This is cosmos. I have had him for about two weeks. I fell in love with him at the shelter. He’s 5. And deaf and blind. Everyone at the rescue kept ignoring him and were scared of his eyes. He’s so sweet and cuddly and playful. Just working on showing him that scar is safe.

Oooh yesss i love telling these!! My first cat I share Custody with my Uncle for ( my uncle does pay child support by the way) 😂 He is our olderst heirloom cat( he is an heirloom because he has been passed down now for 3 generations) he is 19 years old and my sister kidnapped him when he was like a year old from the local trailer park cat lady she methodically stalked and captured him with a Hotdog ... we have had him since... Now my big fat chonkers kitty is Dutch and he thinks he is my ride or die kitty.. he only snuggle me an seeks my active attention.. other people hes like meh your nice buuut 🙄... Anyways he walked into our apartment about 3 years ago while we where putting away groceries he followed us in walked around went back out side came back in and fell asleep on the couch and didnt want to leave.We do not know where he came from whos he was or anything we think some one who lived in the local housing dumped him when they moved.. And Lastly is our newest little baby girl.. Lily, we went out and rescued off the street she was about a 5 week old kitten covered in fleas and terrified.. we had to deflea her an quarantine her in our bathroom for three days until she Flea free.. after three days we introduced her to the other cats slowly, and Dutch the fat cat decided that the kitten was his baby so he groomed her. He followed her around to make sure she didn't get into anything he played with her to this day, will groom her and play with her and follow her around and she's over a year-old and they also look like they could be related But there zero relation we got them in two different towns that are literally 45 minutes apart 😂 ... Those are my cats origin stories 😊

My old dog was dropped off on our porch while we were out of town. I have no clue how long he was out there. My parents didn’t know who left him, but he kept running away to this abandoned house. I think his old owners had to move and he kept trying to find them. He’s passed now but he was the sweetest Weiner dog ever. Ernest was his name cause he was old man 💕

My oldest is almost 15 and she was my father-in-law’s brothers dog, he passed away from cancer and no one wanted her. We kept her and she’s the sweetest! My youngest is my lab who I got against the wishes of everyone in the house, he is dumber than a box of rocks and weighs 130 lbs but doesn’t realize it 🤣 he’s a sweet boy though and everyone loves him now. I have 2 cats from the shelter that are roughly the same age 7-8, one is a black cat who even though he could never survive outside tries to run out constantly and gets mad at you if you don’t let him back in quick enough 🤣 and then our girl cat from the shelter is a tabby with her 3rd eyelid permanently closed on one eye but she’s a hunter and beats up on my boy cat all the time when they play.
