The navy flag was always the same. Its the same one before during and afterward. Nothing to do with WWII. The reason for that is, is the japanese flag is hard to see in open sea ,being almost all white with a small red spot on it.Therefore navy use this type before during and after WWII.It has nothing to do with WWII as some wants to claim.
