I see dozens of people every week on tiktok trying to explain MTG rules. Most spend the first part of the video reading all applicable rules verbatum at Mach 3 speed, then give 1 super vague example. This was the best video I've ever seen clearly reading the rules while providing clear examples. A++. No notes.

This is the dumbest rules in the game. Lethal damage shouldn't be considered against an indestructible creature 🤦‍♂️. Because damage CAN'T be lethal against indestructible. It's just stupid

If they choose to assign all the damage to my indestructible creature I am under no obligation to correct them to the smarter play. (I do anyway)

I feel like I'll try to explain this at a table but everyone will say no, the indestructible blocks all damage.

it'd be useful to see a scenario in which the damage marked on the indestructible blocker meets or exceeds its toughness. if I lightning bolt a 3/3 Indestructible creature, then it blocks my trampling attacker, I can assign no combat damage to it, right?

so if my double strike, trample, death touch 5/5 were blocked by a 1/1 indestructible creature, would I then deal 9 damage to my opponent instead of 8?

This is definitely the type of thing where you need to have the rules pulled up so when someone challenges this, you can explain it

What if it is a 1/1 Indestructible? Will the defending player take 8 damage or 9 damage total?

would this change if the indestructible creature had 1 toughness? i.e. would the 1 damage no count allowing full regular damage through?

and how about if the creature gains protection from creatures, everything or all colors, before damage

What if the blocker is an indestructible 1/1? On the second hit, it sees that it’s assigned with 1 damage, so then 0 additional damage needs to be applied, and all damage is assigned to the player?

So how would the double strike happen if assigning the 1 damage in the first step is also equal to its toughness. I assume all 5 damage would roll over as trample damage?

I'm hoping someone in his comments would be able to tell me because I can't seem to find a straight answer, but how does indestructible interact with applying negative temporary counters? like if I apply -2/-2 to All creatures only during my main phase, does that destroy an indestructible card that's 2/2 and below? or will that only destroy them if I apply those as permanent negative counters?
