My Perspective :
Stop capping 😭 Plato IS NOT THE ORIGINATOR, yes he made it famous but in Plato’s own words, he heard of it from his mentor Solon, who in his many travels went to Egypt and the priests told him about all the times the world has been “destroyed” and that the men of that time only remember the recent cataclysmic event but they the Egyptian priests have all the knowledge of the destruction preserved. I believe the great library or Alexandria if not destroyed would have contained all the previous world history.
