Look into itoh peonies if you’re buying more! They’re a special hybrid and the stems don’t get floppy when they bloom

My favorite trick. When the peonies havent opened and have the texture of a marshmallow. Cut them and wrap the bud in wet newspaper, put in an air tight ziplock bag. You can keep them 6-8 weeks in the fridge. When you pull them out they will bloom within the 24 hours!

Look at Swenson Gardens for ordering peony roots! All their peonies are hybrids and have very strong stems so they don’t flop over and they have legit every color imaginable. They’ll mail roots in the fall so you can plant and have plants growing next spring!
