Alarm installed in a house 26 years ago. It was showing an intermittent fault randomly. several lads sent to it and couldn't find anything. I was sent one afternoon. I decided to disconnect and reconnect every sensor. At the last window when I disconnected it the EOL resistor fell out in 2 bits. Job sorted.
