Refilling it on top of your journal!? You’re brave!! I just know if that were me at 5am I would be spilling or tipping ink bottles haha. I love this pen and ink combo!

My first Estie, I made the mistake of putting shimmer ink in it and ruined the nib. I tried flushing it and put regular ink in, but it kept randomly skipping because left over shimmer particles remained. I was heartbroken, thinking I ruined it forever and kept testing it, in hopes the shimmer would clear.. then, I got one of those denture/jewelry cleaners. PEN SAVED. So if it ever IS the pen, and it was due to shimmer- get one of those and it will save any and all pens! It also saved my TWSBI, that got clogged over time, from the same ink over and over. Best purchase ever!
