You focus too much on the data release itself and not the bigger picture. Most economic data is already a month or more behind, so the market has usually priced expectations in before it even drops. The crazy moves on release are mostly algos reacting instantly. The real direction comes after, based on the overall macro picture ,geopolitics, liquidity, central banks, oil, sentiment etc. That’s why people get trapped trading the news instead of understanding the market. If you complaining or only wait for major news events good luck being a successful trader.
