Hey Courtney 👋 Skin specialist here- This is completely understandable and a common skin condition. Unfortunately Melasma is not something that you can get rid of. However, If you understand what is driving the pigmentation, triggers etc then there are treatments like chemical peels, microneedling that can significantly reduce the apperance and manage the condition. Along with suitable skincare that can improve and continue to manage the pigmentation outside of the treatment room. I’ve seen amazing results with my clients so it is possible. Seeing a qualified skin specalist should take your concerns of previous acne in to account and everything we do should always be focused on caring for your skin barrier no matter the skin condition, treatment or skin product. 💙

How did you get on with doing micro needling with acne prone skin? I really want it doing but a woman I spoke to said I will have to stop using acids and for me acids are the only thing that keep my skin clear.

Dermatologist told me lazer treatment is the worst thing you can do as it exposes the skin more ! I have it soooo bad on my face neck and arms and it’s an exact mirror image on both sides which is true !

Honestly sun cream within 2 weeks it go well that was my case as my face was same as yours I used the garnier ambre Solaire super uv vitamin anti dark spot fluid it’s best x

Stop sunbeds if you do them, niaciemide/ tret or retinol serum spf every day. I never have my face in the sun because I get it on my forehead
