husk is a lot because if I remember correctly he was a gift that one of his siblings gave to her. so she trying to keep a lot of the integrity of the character and a lot of that was kind of nonsensical because he existed around the time she was in high school 😭

//my most controversial hazbin opinion was that i dont think sinners even SHOULD get a demon form or demon design. in christian beliefs humans dont turn into demons after death, but they stay human. i always thought making them to still be humans would be much more impactful, but eh, it's my opinion. also it would probably showcase their time period better ;p.

well for husk its not just hearts its all the suits of cards and I like it being flashy and pulling your eyes all around because it reminds me of how casinos do that exact thing with all the bright flashy lights and sounds

I understand why most of the characters are red, it’s like a unifying color scheme. However, because the backgrounds are like the same shade of red sometimes I kinda can’t tell what’s going on. I do enjoy Hazbin Hotel but like there is a lack of visual clarity

I do keep forgetting Alastor have antlers just for how busy the character already feels, Husk it's both my absolute favourite character and most hated little guy on those stupid wings that doesn't really work or help anything besides making a huge silhouette, Nifty is great

I’m not even a fan of the show but something that deeply bothers me about his design besides the fact that it makes zero allusions to his race is how anachronistic he is. Not only does he fail to represent a Black American man in the 1920s (a very specific and interesting aesthetic that could’ve been very interesting and fun to design) he just… doesn’t look like he’s from the era to the point it goes against his character. Like why would he wear a monocle, something that lost popularity before the 1900s?? Especially if his whole thing is looking presentable. That’s like if I attend a black tie event wearing a flapper dress
