I KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS RIDDLE THE . ITS EASY ..LETS SUPPOSE THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE (THE SYSTEM IS 95 DEGREES F) THE HOT FOOD THATS 130 DEGREES EVEN THOUGH HOT WILL LOSE ITS HEAT TO THE SYSTEM AND MATCH 95 DEGREES F OR LOWER IF THERES A DRAFT OR CURRENT ETC THUS MAKING THE HOT FOOD COLDER AND THE COLD WATER WILL LOSE THERE COLD ENERGY THROUGH EVAPORATION AND CONDENSATION TO MATCH THE HOT TEMP OF 95 DEGREES .. THE HOT FOOD APPEARS TO HAVE GOTTEN COLD BUT ONLY GOT TO A LOWER TEMPERATURE OF 95 DEGREES OR LESS 90 DEGREES DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER ETC AS WOULD A COLD BOTTLE OF WATER TO MATCH THAT TEMP .. BOTH THE COLD WATER AND HOT FOOD ARE GOING TO MATCH THE SET TEMP FROM THEIR IMMEDIATE ENVIRONMENT ETC !
