@the_glambassador: One sewing class later and suddenly I’m planning a sewing room. 🧵✨ I recently took a two-day sewing class here in Vienna and made my very first garment: a half-circle skirt! I finished the waistband and hem by hand at home and I’m honestly so proud of myself for trying something completely new. This is one of my “50 new things in my 50s” and I think I may have accidentally created a new obsession. Now I’m on the hunt for a sewing machine… and mentally rearranging my veranda into a tiny sewing studio. And a very special thank you to Monica for being such a wonderful teacher through this process. Sewing is such a valuable skill, and I really appreciate people who take the time to keep these kinds of hands-on crafts alive and share them with others. Learning something new as an adult can feel intimidating, but she made the experience feel welcoming, encouraging, and genuinely fun.
