A lot of AI creators jump straight into motion generation using overly clean renders with perfect lighting, sterile textures and zero optical behaviour. Then they wonder why the final video still feels synthetic. ■Workflow I started in Midjourney because it naturally renders imperfections that help sell realism in motion:

• bloom
• lens diffusion
• imperfect focus falloff
• subtle optical softness Those details matter more than people think. Once translated into video, they create footage that feels filmed rather than generated. I also framed everything in 4:3. That aspect ratio immediately changes the psychology of the footage. It feels more archival, intimate and observational. Less “AI showcase”, more recovered documentary footage. Another important thing: I avoid generating images that are too dark. Most AI models struggle when scenes become heavily underexposed because the model starts losing separation between shapes, textures and depth information. Instead, I keep the image slightly brighter during generation, preserve detail in the shadows, then bring the exposure down afterwards in post. That gives you the cinematic darkness without confusing the model during image creation. After creating the base frames in Midjourney, I moved the workflow into FLORA for animation using Seedance.
