I think an excellent example of women keeping fandoms alive is Star Trek. Not only was it supported by Lucille Ball to keep airing, when it went off the air women fandoms though conventions, merchandise, engagement, and fan fiction kept the popularity alife for so long that they found it profitable to do Next Generation 18 years later.

I think Shoujo should also make more action series with female leads. They are mostly romance manga, but clearly there is a large market for female-led action stories. I would also appreciate this as a man with very little interest in romance and a constant desire for new action manga.

Geniune Ask....I agree with you on all of your takes...And i don't think any bit of that take was problematic...But then the creators started responding to Joey and started flaming him and the people agreeing with him..and even tho i don't agree with Joey and these people it still triggered me...idk why even with this video I was getting triggered...and Trust me I am not being performative i truly agree with you... Maybe it's cause i consumed a lot of red pill content back then...i can't figure how to fix it...

I am single handedly financing the Deidara merch. I have a whole bookshelf full of just him/Akatsuki stuff. there's THOUSANDS of dollars of stuff just sitting on a shelf. and I still wish, very deeply, that Kishimoto wrote some of the female characters better.

Saw a guy say as a counter argument 'actually we need more male mcs in shoujo' Of course it's the one genre were we actually get good female characters. People are forgetting most of the people writing your fav mangas are women mangakas.
