we "check ears" every night with my almost 2 year old. he LOVES doing it. sometimes I actually get to check. sometimes he just checks me. lol. but it's so good to help get him used to checking ears!

None of my kids will tug their ears when they’ve had San infection. I usually only get suspicious when they suddenly get a fever with no other symptoms. Would be so handy to have to know if we need to head to urgent care or their pediatrician or not!

might just he the lighting but that eardrum actually looks kinda red, maybe just the surrounding area but 🤷♀️a healthy eardrum is silver and shiny in appearance

I don't even need to see an ear drum to know a kid has an ear infection. I can also smell strep. being a parent to constantly sick kids has its advantages

I got the one with the tools to pull wax if needed and you can see it on your phone, so you can see your own ears.

I was so ready to buy this because I KNEW my child had an ear infection but the doctors wouldn’t believe me until I went into urgent care and they talked to the ENT as well! We finally have tubes in. 🤞

2/3 of my kids have ear tubes. I do not miss the constant infections. This would have saved me and them a lottt of guess work. But now I can spot an ear infection with an otoscope immediately 😅 and the tubes tell me if they have an infection now. I’m realizing I know way too much about ears than I would have ever liked to know.

I am a pediatrician. it's a terrible idea to shove that in your kid's ear. you don't know how far to go into the canal and at what angle. infinitly more dangerous if your child moves

My 4 yo daughter will not let me touch her ears. They are completely clogged though. I can’t see her ear drum. She doesn’t complain about pain. But idk how to clean if she won’t let me touch
