Instead of stretching the muscle, the goal is to gently help the sciatic nerve glide through the surrounding tissue, especially if the piriformis muscle is irritating or compressing it. I guess it's working. But while i raised my legs, i also oressed hard or massage the pain area. It's uncomfortable like there's electricity especially on the side but this exercise really helps for me.
