My friend @Authentic Traveling and I almost made it inside the palace of the Ooni of Ife… 🤴🏿🇳🇬 but not all the way unfortunately! ❌ The inner palace is reserved for invited guests, and meeting the Ooni, the paramount ruler of the Yoruba people, requires permission well in advance. This is a place where Nigerian leaders, foreign dignitaries, and even visiting heads of delegation come to pay their respects to the Yoruba king. Although we couldn’t enter the private residence, we were incredibly fortunate to be granted access to the palace museum, something that isn’t normally open to visitors. Walking through one of the most important royal sites in Yoruba culture was already a privilege. I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunity to experience a small part of its history and traditions. 🙏🇳🇬🤴🏿 ❤️🇳🇬 #nigeria #king
