Attachment theory was originally developed as a theory between child and mother…..it was later applied to adult relationships, which can be controversial. Babies (male and female ones) need to be attached to their parents for normal healthy development. There have been later studies done including fathers and children…results found that fathers TOO are secure bases. However, there is attachment hierarchy towards mothers
