He is talking nonsence. Lying for a muslim is a major sin, and is only allowed in 3 specific instances. A) to protect their or others life. B) to reconcile 2 people that are fighting (for example say, no he did not say anything bad about you, in order to reconcile them) and finally C) between spouses to maintain domestic harmony (no you don’t look fat in those jeans). These 3 instances are the only allowed times a muslim can lie, not even to ”further” their religion as the guy claims can a muslim lie
