This made me realize that all of the girls are each other's foils. Agott wants to grow up as fast as she can so she can further her own goals and magic, Coco foils her by only wanting to use magic to help others of course, but Riche foils her by not wanting to grow up, and Tetia foils her by trying to make friends with everyone as opposed to focusing on her own studies.
