Me and my gf met the same way as the movie. I’ve been told my whole life that it was wrong but somthing that I was always told was “do things that are fulfilling to your soul because that’s Gods plan” so I did what was fulfilling for my soul and we left the church without having to worry about people telling us it was wrong anymore. And oh how I related to this movie sm. Was definitely really hard to leave and make that choice because we both have close family in the Jehovah’s Witness religion. But we are exactly where we both want to be now. So I always get happy when I see people that have the courage to come out in a community that doesn’t accept it because it’s pure love not a sin why would living someone be so wrong? But I have known my gf for years now the picture I put is from around the first time we met but I’ve never been happier. Picture was taken in the church lol😂
