@tooyoungtowed: A girl came to one of our menstrual hygiene seminars in Afghanistan. She realized something was wrong, told her parents, and saw a doctor. They found a cyst and removed it in time. This is what happens when a girl learns about her own body. She gets answers, not shame or silence. She gets a diagnosis, a surgery, and a chance to live differently because someone told her the truth. This year, we distributed 1,302 menstrual hygiene kits in three provinces in Afghanistan and trained 78 female teachers to keep this work going. When teachers know, their students learn. We do this everywhere we work. Wherever we go, we make sure no girl has to figure out her body alone. This work continues because people like you make it possible.
