Old way, right way. No accelerator. when water came to the top, you cast straight Portland Cement on it, Troweled it in. Made the smoothest, hardest surface.

So you think concrete sets like wood glue? What if it's too cold and damp for the water to evaporate? Does it stay soft for weeks?

sealing surface would keep the water in longer making it cure slower and I woulda thought made it stronger. good to know.
