@nbcchicago: A suburban homeowner managed to scare off would-be car thieves in his driveway in a scene that was all caught on security cameras. According to police, Elk Grove officers responded to a disturbance early Wednesday after a 911 caller had reported someone was trying to break into his car in his driveway. "When officers arrived, they learned that the homeowner had scared off the burglars by banging on his window of his house," police said in a statement.
