Never buy new! You can save so buying used, and also you can kind of expect that all the issues would’ve been addressed by the time it gets to you. I’ve lived in my RV for 11 years now and I absolutely love it.😁

It's not any cheaper and you lose equity vs owning a home. New campers will last maybe 10 years before things become too much to repair. Camping isn't free unless you are on public/blm land which there is not much east of the Mississippi. Interest also is high so selling now if you have sub 5% rate is not ideal either. Positive is the experience you and your children will get traveling. So really comes down to your lifestyle needs. If you do decide to do it make sure you have extended warranties on you vehicle and camper. Also a gas truck will not tow a home like camper long term. You will want a diesel for anything over 7,000lbs if you are doing lots of driving.

what about a 5th wheel. those are less expensive and can be incredibly large and home like...full kitchens and couches and fireplaces...laundry. etc

Just an idea: instead of selling your home, rent it out as an AirBNB that way you have additional income coming in. Do research as to where you want to hunt and is camping hookups withing 5 miles. Just things to think about. ❤️❤️
