I am learning almost the same way, I was wondering do you know or could you recommend a video on how to go over reviewed cards on Anki. I only know how to do the daily ones

I'd say it is worth reading Japanese even as early as you can. I've just been scrolling on Japanese Twitter reading posts even back when I was learning kana and just practicing which hiragana I knew, because anyway you can turn scrolling into learning is a huge huge win in my opinion. At this point I can't tell how many words I've learned just casually scrolling Twitter at this point and you don't really have to worry about the pitch accent thing either because if you're consistent with video immersion you'll eventually come across those words and hence the correct accent (even though I'd say you shouldn't focus or worry about pitch accent so early only)

99% if people are not keeping 2136 kanji in "about 3 months", it's fine if it takes you 5 years, hell 10 years, don't worry about it. 3 months is 25 new kanji a day, ontop of any vocab study, grammar study, immersion, etc, it's an unrealistic bar, don't be disappointed if you only get comfortable with 100 in 3 months.

Anki is a waiste of time. Just scan subtitles with yomitan and set an intention on the words to remember, then move on. Words will come again and again.

Nb :
When do you use kanji because if you’re using the hiragana and katakana what would you need it for ?

Do you have any textbook/learning book recommendations on learning kanji, just to reinforce my understanding of the kanji that I’m learning.

can i study with genki instead of anki? i’m thinking that it might be better for me to get a textbook to be more motivated, though the flashcards seem cool

You managed to express my thoughts exactly! Especially knowing the kanji thing. I noticed it too late in my journey but you can learn way more vocabulary just by knowing the individual kanji. Extremely useful video for starting students; I can not stress enough how spot on you are. Thank you so much doing gods work here 😂
