One of my sons is allergic to wheat, nuts, sesame and egg. Staying in a Eurocamp and cooking for ourselves if just easier and safer for him. Plus I agree about sitting in a restaurant. Nightmare

My boys are both grown now but they were all able to sit in a restaurant and enjoy the experience without causing stress it was part of the holiday experience

odd question, are allergies easy to read on foreign packaging? like do they have the allergies in bold like they do in the UK? both my children have allergies so I've been looking at eurocamp because self catering would really work for us

We always go self catering! Both my girls have allergies so it’s a much safer option for us!! Plus I’m with you, taking my 3 year old and 6 month old girls to a restaurant isn’t relaxing at all!

We never did a hotel when we were children. My brother has special needs and it meant we could have a holiday doing Eurocamp. I now have a husband who never stayed anywhere other than a hotel. But I have such amazing memories of Eurocamp holidays as a child!

and being at the lodge/caravan for meals means we can just relax and take time away so we're not overwhelmed and stressed! nothing better than eating cocopops and watching cartoons on holiday x

We also find eating out at lunch time is cheaper, quicker and less stressful than evening meals and then we can get our girls showered and in pjs and make an easy meal in the evening

I wouldn’t do all in again….. I also hate being restricted to meal times and my kids and hubby are all picky eaters and also my hubby isn’t a breakfast person he’s rarely a lunch one so sometimes the only meal he’ll eat is dinner so there’s really no point for us 🤣🤣 but I won’t cook but my kids are older now (24 and 15) so eating out isn’t as bad as it used to be for us xx

Yep. And sometimes dragging them out for meals in a restaurant when you're all knackered from a day in the sun is less relaxing that just cooking.
