You should put the carabiner through the loop on the side of the bag instead of on the top so it’s not in your way.

I also don't love things dangling down but want to be esthetic so bad! 😆 I did find that i love enamel pins or iron on patches that I've found over the years. it adds something to the bag, but doesn't get in the way

Used my 35 as a work bag, and was able to put my daily lunch, plus ALL of my pumping items (including an insulated lunch box for the milk) in it. It feels so empty since I stopped pumping and don’t need to carry as much!
