That's so true!!!! Years ago, my husband and I got sober together!! It was a Supernatural experience! I wanted to add if i may, that we should quit using substances like cigarettes, vapes, alcohol, drugs etc...Not just bc thats what a good Christian should do, But.. One reason is they are all Sin and the wages of Sin is death... The Lord doesnt want our life cut short and thats what all these substances do. The Lord wants the very BEST for us!! Also, all these substances lead to Demonic open doors! The enemy gets access to our life, body, and mind when we partake in substances.. We literally give him permission to wreak havoc in our life when we consume the things not of God... And that goes for Anything we allow into our "Gates".. We have Eye Gate, Ear Gate, Mouth Gate, & Heart Gate... The bible tells us to "Guard our Gates"! We don't realize it but everything is so meaningful/ purposefull! And let me add, the enemy doesn't care our intentions nor does he play fair!! We all know we have Laws we have to obey here on earth but Spirits also have Spiritual Laws that they have to obey as well... they are, like the bible says about the Devil, "Seeking whom he can devour"... The Demons assigned to us only get access if we allow them! Thats why the Lord doesn't want us on substances, its for our own Protection!! He wants us pure so that we can be close to him... hear him, see him ( Not literally see him), feel, & experience him! Those substances (All Sin) separates us from the Lord and he doesn't want us separated from him. So it's not that hes some dictator, its that he Truly cares for us! In Christ we are Not bond by Sin anymore!! He has set us free!!! This is a HUGE Spiritual Battle we are in the middle of! We need to wake up everyday and put on our Armor! The words we say and the things we do can give the enemy access to our life! Speak Scripture and The Promises of God out loud!! No matter what your situation may look like!! And remember, There's NO condemnation in Christ! It's ok if we mess up :) Theres forgiveness!! Only Christ is perfect! We should just repent and go back to Christ, no matter how many times we fall! God bless 🫶
