It happens to me on and off. Could happen ever time I have a drink for 6 months and then not again for a year. Didn't matter the type of alcohol either.

Menopause histamine reaction. I had to give up alcohol. I went for allergy testing and they said menopause hormone issues causes histamine reaction.

I do! It’s because the companies that process the alcohol they add histamines to process it faster… I take an antihistamine and it’s gone!!! It only happens to certain brands!!

I get that once in awhile when I drink my first few sips of a drink. If you google it it can be a sign that your kidneys are not filtering right and possibly allergic to the booze
