i used to date someone like that. called me out on a lot of things to the point that i become overly cautious on being too much and with my now fiance, i constantly asking him if i was being too much. it is healthy to be able to communicate your feelings but sometimes the "call out" is unnecessary and can be unkind. even the said ex told me (ofc we ended on good terms) that i seems much happier with my now relationship and my friends too noticed how happy ive been. my fiance was in the same type of relationship as well and we both ask are we too much too a lot. but so far we when we didnt like things we tell each other the kindest way, he would be "oh baby should just eat for a bit before take more pictures?" and i would oh i am sorry my love and thats it. idk its just my experience
