Don’t we all do this? Half the lotion is still in there. Throwing it away is wasteful for money and the product.

Its not frugal, its not poverty, its SMART. You dont use the middle of a peanut butter jar and not scrap the sides.

My husband won’t use the last bit of soap bars. I soften them up and meld them together to get another bar and I use them up. No waste.

Girl I used to think like this, but when I started living wt my partner, I realised it should be normalised. He cuts moisturiser tubes open even though we’ve got stuff stored in our house ready to be used when we run out. It also applies to other products/consumables. We don’t run out of extras and backups, but we make sure everything is FINISHED before we open a new one. It’s not coming from a place of scarcity, but mindful consumption. Also, should think about the environment too.

I always do this with lotions, serums, makeup and anything in a tube. I also add water to my shampoo and detergent bottles to use up every bit. it's frugal and smart. If someone wants to criticize this and call it poverty, have at it. You do you.

I think it’s neither. It’s just finishing your bottle and not wasting.

Also use the last little bit of body wash by putting a little hot water in it when I’m showering shaking it up then pouring it over myself, not only did I use it all, but rinsed off the bottle for recycling

I was shocked when none of friends cut open the toothpaste tube. There is literally another week’s worth in there!!!

It’s not frugal, it’s smart and just common sense to me. I work hard for my money so if I buy lotion, you’re gonna bet I use all of it before I buy another one. Doesn’t everybody cut it to get the 1/16 that’s left on the bottom?

Thank you for that video. I have plenty of money, but that’s because I’m frugal. I cut a tube open and saw I’d only used 2/3 of my expensive, “empty” tube.

Why are we wasting anything? Next thing you’ll tell me putting water in my dishwashing liquid to get the last few drops is wrong as well! Haha
