Then they make your kids years a living hell. I can't remember a vast majority of my childhood, that line in Lilo and Stitch about not even having memories to return to makes me cry.

Knew a guy that was told this since he was 12, a year after graduating he self checked out and left a book documenting every day after graduation saying how horrible it is to be a adult.

my parents are convinced I still have yet to enter "the real world" because I'm happier as an adult with agency as opposed to a child that gets told where to go, when I go there, and how I should think. "but taxes" oh no!! not tedious paperwork that I need to do or else I get in trouble!!! I've only been doing that every day for the last ~12 years 😱😱
