@mamaaa9204: She was only 9 years old. And the man her family trusted the most… would become her killer.” In December 2011, 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon was staying with a family friend in a trailer park in Fort Wayne while her mother was sick with the flu. That man was Michael Plumadore — someone the family had known for years and trusted to watch Aliahna and her sisters. On December 23, Aliahna was reported missing. Michael claimed he left briefly to buy cigars, came home, and later realized she was gone. Search teams, volunteers, and even the FBI joined the search. But investigators noticed inconsistencies in his story almost immediately. After hours of questioning, Michael confessed. Police said he admitted to beating Aliahna to death with a brick before dismembering her body and hiding parts of her remains in and around the trailer park. The case horrified the country because the person responsible wasn’t a stranger. He was someone the family believed they could trust. To avoid the death penalty, Michael Plumadore later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
