My own view and experience on this: In my opinion (i'm also skinny fat), I consider this term to associate with a person having a constantly bloating body, not really nutritional diet or active lifestyle. Plus I also have bad digestion so for me "skinny fat" is like me not having a good lifestyle and I know if I start getting a proper diet with an active lifestyle, then it will be healthy, no matter if i'm "skinny" or not. I don't really consider my weight but rather how I gained that weight and that's why i would lose it. (For example, I was 58 kg and then during summer I ate alot of unhealthy food, went to the gym but not regularly/not a proper routine, didnt walk much, and became 63 kg.) I thankfully lost that weight now [56-57kg) (not in a great way though, I was skipping dinner everyday for a few months because i was always snacking and i usually eat alot for dinner than go straight to bed) but i actually feel more healthy than I did before. Before I would feel hungry all the time, now I don't feel as attached to food, eating it when I don't have to. I always liked fruits so I substituted chips and candy for that, if I felt a little hungry then I'd eat a banana or dates. Now it's summer so I eat mango, melon, plum or peaches.
