YES! My biggest thing to learn is to forget "don't" and "can't". if you say "don't cut your hair with scissors", all me 2.5yo hears is everything after "don't". so, I make a point to say what thing ARE for: "scissors are for paper. spoon is for eating. hands are for helping."
