What was the point…Wemmbu felt as if he was losing his mind, vision suddenly becoming clearer. His eyes tracked as players ran around, trying to escape or staying to fight. What was the point of all this. Why did they think of themselves worth anything? No one on this server was worth anything. Not even himself. This server was cursed from the beginning. Those who rose to power just sped up the process. The fire licked around him. He couldn’t even feel the heat, not even as the smoke he inhaled curdled in his lungs, his body was just so cold. No one on this server was worth anything…Not after they took Everything from him. His other half. They didn’t deserve to be saved. They didn’t even give him the chance to mourn properly before everyone threw themselves at him with their swords. Wemmbu eyes flickered over to where Egg lay, as still as a porcelain doll. Distantly, Wemmbu remembered calling him at once, when they first met…The irony of that description becoming real right in front of his eyes. His lips trembled, body shaking with barely held back rage and grief. He lifted Egg into his arms, hugging the angel’s body close, forehead pressed against the other’s. “I’ll be back,” Wemmbu whispered, voice shaky. “I just have to take care of some stuff, real quick.” “You’ll wait for me right?” He didn’t receive an answer. But, that was okay. Egg always waited. (This may or may not be the last part I post about this sorta Alnst inspired AU, depends cause season 2 literally comes out next week.
