Whenever I have completely cut contact, it could be 10 years down the road and they’ll contact. They’ll apologise, tell me how they went to my local shops and always hoped to see me. How they thought about me - this TOOK YEARS. I never gave them a second chance of course but your advice is 100% correct.

He moved to another country to start a new life, and I didn’t even know about it. I found out through someone who was practically a stranger. I don’t even know how long he’s been there. What I find strange is that, in the middle of a new life in a wonderful country, surrounded by new experiences and new women, he messaged me after 30 days while I was quietly minding my own business, desperately asking when we could see each other. I think it was just to play with my feelings because he knew I loved him. In the end, I questioned him and asked him to tell me the truth about this move and why he had messaged me while he was there. He left me without an answer. Because of that, I made it clear that if he didn’t tell me the truth, I would end all contact with him. And that’s exactly what happened. He didn’t reply, didn’t say anything, and left me with no answer at all. I removed him from WhatsApp, blocked him on Instagram, and cut off his access to my life. It’s been 12 days without any contact, and this time I really think it’s over, because there’s no reason for him to reach out to me again.
