Marble isn’t as bad as everyone makes out. I’ve had it before. Just wipe up spills and don’t leave a can on scrubbing bubbles on it overnight (ask me how I know) and you’ll be fine.

I have black countertops and I would never do them again they show every single speck of dust, hair, fingerprint, water spot etc. They are beautiful and dramatic but only look good for about 15 min a day.

We did the opposite, our island is the white marble, and our counters are leathered black granite. Our counters get used the most so I wanted them to be the more durable surface.
