@thedogsneedourhelp: 💔 These 10 (now 8) boys were dumped at the shelter with their 6 sisters & 1 of their young mamas after their owner allowed multiple “accidental” litters to be born instead of getting her dogs fixed. The owner claims there was only one mother involved despite there originally being 23 puppies total, & only found homes for 7 of them. That means another mama may still be out there, & these babies were left behind to face the shelter at only around 8 weeks. These terrified boys are huddled together in the back of their kennel trying to find comfort in each other while the shelter chaos surrounds them. Loud barking, wet concrete floors, unfamiliar smells, & constant stress… They should still be safely learning about the world in a home, not trying to survive emotionally & physically inside an overcrowded shelter where illness spreads fast. Only 2 boys have been adopted so far. Their sisters are separated in another kennel, & their mama is nearby painfully engorged & unable to reach them. Every time these puppies cry, she reacts because she knows her babies are there, but she cannot get to them. It is heartbreaking to witness. These puppies urgently need adopters, fosters, & rescue help before stress & sickness take over. Puppies this young are so vulnerable in shelters, especially when they arrive in large groups. They should be adopted separately if possible to help prevent littermate syndrome & give each puppy the best chance at developing into a confident, well-adjusted dog with proper individual bonding, training, & socialization. Please help these babies get out before this environment claims their lives. ⸻ Kennel 26 | #D26647-54 • ~8 weeks, Intact Males, Labrador/Anatolian/Pyrenees mix (guess) • Owner surrender 5/28 📍Greenville Animal Control Shelter 5800 Joe Ramsey Blvd, Greenville, TX Open daily 9am–5pm ☎️ 903 457 2990 📧 Rescue tags: [email protected] 💲Adoption fee: $87 (67 + 20 neuter deposit) Includes 1st round of basic shots, neuter, microchip, & rabies.
