@jclacooks: MANGO FLOAT 🥭🇵🇭 The best mango dessert ever created? A simple 4 ingredient no-bake dessert from the Philippines. Mango float is inspired by the Spanish dessert known as Crema de Fruta. Filipino cooks would use what they had readily available to replace the original Crema de Fruta ingredients and mango float was born. Ingredients: Ripe Mangoes Graham crackers Heavy cream Condensed milk Instructions: 1. Slice fresh ripe mangos into a strips or cubes. 2. Add heavy cream to a big bowl and whip until you have medium peaks 3. Add condensed milk to your preference of sweetness. Taste as you go. 4. Gently fold the condense milk in, making sure not to overly deflate the whipped cream 5. Now in your container begin assembling 6. Go whipped cream, then graham crackers, then whipped cream, then mangoes, then graham cracker, and repeat as many times as you desire. 7. Let it chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours or overnight. And enjoy #mangofloat #mango #nobake #filipino #philippines
put it in the freezer for a couple hours then serve. game changer

Tip: never use cream, use a mix of evaporated and condensed milk instead. It’ll taste 1000x better

GUYS of course we're gonna have almost identical things, because our cultures intertwined when we were both colonized by the same country! plus we connected with Mexico through trade before. Even our Last names are predominantly Mexican! I'm a Diaz and I'm Filipino 🤷🏼♀️

The secret here is use mangoes from the Philippines. Mangoes from other countries don’t taste the same.

The best mangoes are in the Philippines. Some people in the US told me that chiapas mangoes are better. But learned recently that Mexican mangoes came to be because they were brought from the Philippines during the Manila-Acapulco galleon trade. So in essence, we are the OGs. Although I don’t know about Thai mangoes. But I’m heavily biased on Philippine mangoes.
