@hapree41: A day trip to Annecy from Lyon, France 🇫🇷, also known as the “Venice of the Alps” for its dreamy canals, pastel streets and crystal-clear lake nestled in the French Alps. We caught a FlixBus from Lyon (departing from Lyon Perrache station) for the ~2 hour trip to Annecy, booked through Omio, which made it super easy. Honestly one of the prettiest day trips from Lyon. After arriving in Annecy, we spent the day wandering through the canals, walking around the crystal blue lake and seeing the iconic Palais de l’Île — the medieval prison sitting right in the middle of the canal 🏰 Things to do in Annecy: • Hire a boat or pedal boat on Lake Annecy • Explore the canals and colourful old town • Grab gelato from Glacier des Alpes 🍦 • Rent an e-bike and ride around the lake and up towards Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard for breathtaking lake views. Takes about 45 minutes 🚲✨ We finished the day watching the sunset over the lake before dinner at Le Lilas Rose; the cosiest French Alps dinner experience with fondue and stone cooked meats 🫕🥩 Then hopped back on the last bus back to Lyon! #Annecy #FranceTravel #travel #LakeAnnecy #France
