@baueroutageofficial: When a team is on a hot streak, they're almost always doing one thing: squaring up pitches out over the plate. That's the tell. They're not fighting off hard stuff up and in. They're not adjusting to both sides of the zone. They're locked in on one zone and feasting. The adjustment is to go up and in. A lot. It forces a decision on the hitter. Speed up to handle the pitch up and in — or give it up entirely. If they speed up, everything else opens. Offspeed away, soft stuff down, anything that requires patience — all of it becomes way harder to handle. If they don't speed up, you just live there and they can't get hits. Either outcome works in your favor. The pitch up and in is the most uncomfortable pitch for a hitter. It demands the barrel gets out front fast. That commitment kills their ability to adjust to anything else. No pitcher throws it exclusively — but you don't need to.
