Nope. Not in my house. My state also just passed a law that requires a drivers license for all motorized bikes and scooters that go over 20mph.

I tell my grands- this is when your legs work the BEST. Why do you need assistance pedaling a bike?!?! They don’t know rules of the road. They’re oblivious bc they’re children. Parents need to say no to the erasure from their kids. Disappointment is part of life. We don’t get everything we want when we want it

My nephew wanted one and my brother told him no, never, absolutely not, don’t ask again. They are super expensive, and one of the major benefits of a traditional bike is exercise. You’re not getting exercise with a motor!

When my child asked for an electric scooter, we talked about the safety concerns. I said if they can find two doctors to tell me that say it’s safe/a good idea, then sure. Never heard a word about it again. 😂

My husband has them and uses them as dirt bikes bc he won’t ride them on the main roads or sidewalks.
