@l.ourens: Here’s my Ranking of Arab States! 🇸🇦 - 7. Egypt 3/10: Visited Cairo and the city feels like the most depressing place I’ve ever visited. Lots of abuse by police, people struggling to eat and others taking advantage of each other. Lots of people being arrogant, trying to rob you. It feels like a place where people should love each other more. It’s the polar opposite of Oman. 6. Morocco 6/10: it’s okay, but I would expect it to be nicer. Food wasn’t often as tasty as I experienced in other Islamic countries like Saudi, Turkey or Uzbekistan. Architecture is very beautiful. People sometimes tend to be on the aggressive side though, and there are too many police checkpoints, which can be annoying. I have to be honest that I didn’t visit Marrakech and the areas around Agadir though. 5. Tunisia 7/10: My favourite in North Africa. Nice food, lots of French influences, and for Arab standards more liberal. Nice beaches and lots of culture from ancient Carthage to Rome. In touristy areas the people can aggressively trying to sell you stuff. Most people are nice though. - Follow for part 2! - - - - - #arab #fyp #travel #arabic #traveltok

I don’t think it’s ever fair to judge an entire country on a 24 hour visit. You saw 0.001% of Egypt and thought you saw enough to rank it? 🙃

Serious?!! You judge in 24 hr layover? We've all done these layovers, that gives you only about 8 hours in large traffic congested cities.
You didn't cruise on the Nile. You didn't see Luxor, or any other magnificent sites. Amazing experience.
Cairo is pulsing with heavy traffic, but has some stunning hotels. I spent 16 days in Egypt with 4 days in Cairo vs your 24 hrs.
It's my top country.

As a Tunisian citizen, I can say that you are being unfair to some of the most beautiful countries in the world. Egypt and Morocco are among the most beautiful countries you can visit, and you cannot judge them based on a short visit. 🇹🇳🇹🇳
